Update: we have a new waffle iron.

Our old one finally died and we hadn't had one for a while. I searched high and low for some great new waffle technology because I wasn't really happy with our 30 year old model. I ended up buying nearly exactly the same thing. At least its new - someone please point me to a good, big waffle maker that is not a Belgian waffler.

In the meantime, we're in waffles again. No. 2 son had to remind me to "attend the waffle party" since I'm usually so busy making them that I end up with one little square.

Then we went for a walk - the Presidio golf course is closed due to all the winds and rain last week and we got to walk all through it. It was gorgeous, then we came home and now I'm eating mixed nuts and drinking coffee. It's a good life.
