swaz cooked a 16 pound turkey in 2 and a half hours.

High-heat turkey roasting is delicious and convenient.

On Thanksgiving Day, we all go around the table and say what we're thankful for. (Recently, I've been reading a book to the two younger ones about the threat of nuclear Armageddon - and realized that's fear is not a part of the national zeitgeist like it was when I was a kid, and had to explain it to them. )

No. 2 son: I'm glad we live in this point in history and we don't have to fear nuclear war and shit.

No. 3 son: *gasps*

Mom: (*dies*)

No. 3 son: I'm grateful that mom married dad and that perfect combination created... (makes a gesture to include him and his brothers)

I've got plenty to be thankful for.
