Apart from the whole anthropomorphic fallacy of it all, I think that with all the problems in the world, and all the real needs of human beings, focusing on animal rights is a waste of energy and effort and seriously misguided. I do think that animals should be treated humanely, but worrying about the "rights" of say, silkworms over other matters? I think it shows a real internalized misanthropy and general unawareness.

It's only the ninth day of Christmas, so I am continuing to rock my Santa hat icons and my candy canes are still up in my cube.

When I was a kid, we always kept our Christmas tree up till epiphany and the other kids thought we were just too lazy to take it down. Oh the shame, but now I participate in the tradition.

A carved rose on your toilet seat is classy.

JonathanBenAri: i need to find some coffeehouse to go haunt, but that's so cliche
JetteSwan: I have been feeling very pomo in a mid nineties way lately myself.
JonathanBenAri: what are the symptoms of your pomoism?
JetteSwan: I was in the home depot
JetteSwan: looking at toilet seats
JetteSwan: and Swaz and I were laughing at the selection
JetteSwan: and teh HOME DEPOT GUY
JetteSwan: and actually asks us
JetteSwan: DID YOU NEED ANY HELP OR ARE YOU JUST POP CULTURING?
JetteSwan: *sigh* I am so tired of the irony, Jonathon.
