I made that up years before Christopher Hutchin's hit piece on her came out a while back. Now, I haven't read it, but the gist is that the author accuses her of having made some very questionable choices in her associations. Perhaps it is true, perhaps it is not. Still, when the book came out, my little saying was vindicated.
Sometimes it's good to remember this - when you get a little too hard on yourself, when you start thinking of the people you've disappointed or when you've disapointed yourself, the times when your inner asshole blurted out instantly regretted blunders, the times you've not met your goals or been able to keep your promises - remember that you could literally be a saint, but you've still got that human frailty, no matter how hard you try, you're still going to make some mistakes, and you will never, ever, be able to make everybody happy.
