I would not let my children listen to Howard Stern.

And by that I mean, I would not let my children listen to Howard Stern, which is my prerogative, not the government's.

Clear Channel Drops Howard Stern in face of FCC rulings.

A conservative advocacy group, the Parents Television Council, applauded the FCC's decision.

"Stern is a repeat offender of the most commonsense decency standards and we welcome the news that the FCC is moving to combat these patently indecent shows," said L. Brent Bozell III, the group's president.

I am a busy working mother of three, and yet I somehow manage to keep Howard Stern out of earshot. It seems these parents heading up media watchdog groups have all the time in the world to promote censorship in the name of their children, but not the ability to operate a radio's tuning dial or the "off" button. Funny skill set they got there, no?
